TUALATIN – Hollywood was here whether you saw it or not.
A last minute change to the filming schedule on the new Jennifer Aniston movie, “Management,” had crews and stars in Tualatin filming at two locations about a week ahead of schedule.
And after just one whirlwind day, it was business as usual at the CI Bar & Grill and Tualatin Indoor Soccer. On Oct. 17, crews took complete control of the two businesses.
“They trashed the place. They rearranged the place. And two hours after they were done it was like they were never here. Everything was back to where it was,” said David Phillips, owner of CI Bar & Grill.
But before it was over, crews took over the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall and several public parking lots.
The change to the filming schedule apparently came so suddenly that the city did its best to respond. The Tualatin Development Commission approved a resolution ratifying the temporary use of the commission’s property for film staging. Only the resolution was approved on Oct. 22, almost five days after crews rapped up filming.
But as far as a paparazzi swarm, Monty Hawkins, owner of Tualatin Indoor Soccer, said there was a small one concentrated on the star of the film.
But even the owners of the business were asked not to talk to the stars.
And days after filming was wrapped up, Hawkins said he got about 50 phone calls from people claiming to be Aniston fans. They asked questions about the shoot and about the star, but Hawkins said he never said much.
