The following crimes were reported by local police departmetns:

Sherwood

The Sherwood Police Department received the following report last week:

Sunday, Dec. 20

- Joseph Vitale Jr., 27, of Tualatin was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and criminal mischief. Vitale, a police report said, was involved in a single-car accident at Southwest Main Street and Sunset Boulevard, which caused a power outage and approximately $30,000 in damage.

Tigard

The Tigard Police Department reported the following arrests between Dec. 22 through Dec. 29:

Theft –18; interfering with a police officer – 1; criminal mischief – 2; assault – 4; strangulation – 1; interfering with making a police report – 1; drug related – 2; unlawful use of a weapon – 2; menacing – 1; warrants – 3; criminal trespassing – 3; minor in possession of alcohol – 1; driving while suspended – 1; false info to a police officer – 1; forgery – 1; hit and run –1. Of these, nine of them resulted in juvenile arrests.

Tuesday, Dec. 29

- A transient male entered the bathroom of the Shell gas station, 11834 S.W. Pacific Highway, early in the morning and did not leave for more than two hours. Employees attempted to talk to the man through the door, but he did not respond. Employees tried the door, but it was locked. It was then that they heard the man snoring. He had fallen asleep.

Monday, Dec. 28

- Someone knocked on the sliding glass door of a home in the 8900 block of Pinebrook Court. The owner of the house did not hear anything or see anything, only the tapping of someone (or something) on the door.

- Three young males of unknown ages stole three iPhones from the Apple Store, 9530 S.W. Washington Square Road.

- An instructor at the Everest Institute, 9600 S.W. Oak St., received numerous phone calls from a former student. The student called the instructor names and made threats.

Sunday, Dec. 27

- Someone stole $400 from the Macy’s department store, 9300 S.W. Washington Square Road.

- A man in his mid-20s stole a bottle of liquor from the Crossroads Restaurant & Bar at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 9000 S.W. Washington Square Road. A bartender followed the man, in an attempt to get the bottle back, but the thief, who was described as very drunk, became violent, and the bartender let the man go.

- Someone attempted to use two $50 counterfeit bills within the space of 10 minutes at a store at 9400 S.W. Washington Square Road.

Saturday, Dec. 26

- An employee at Oil Can Henry’s, 12398 S.W. Scholls Ferry Road, received a fake $100 bill.

- Kevin Nettleship, 49, was cited for stealing $149.95 from the Apple Store, 9530 S.W. Washington Square Road.

Friday, Dec. 25

- Someone painted over the peep holes on apartment doors at the Meadow Creek Apartments, 12505 S.W. North Dakota St.

Thursday, Dec. 24

- A dog in the 11300 block of 94th Avenue barked for several hours.

- During a fight between two men at Manila Express Restaurant, 12370 S.W. Main St., one of the men broke a pool cue over another man’s head.

- The windows of a car in the 12500 block of Brookside Avenue were shot out with a BB gun during the night.

- Someone at the Greenburg Terrace Apartments, 11410 S.W. Greenburg Road, brought a dog among a group of children. The dog barked and scared them, then attacked one of the children’s ball.

- A man with a medical marijuana card, who lived in an undisclosed part of Beef Bend Road, gave his 12-year-old son a “special muffin” to help him sleep. The exact contents of the muffin were not disclosed, but the child’s mother was worried that marijuana might have been an ingredient.

- A man in the 11700 block of 91st Avenue had his recycling bin stolen.
