A Wilsonville man was arrested early Sunday morning in Tualatin after allegedly robbing a woman at knifepoint.
According to police reports, 19-year-old David Allen Rogacz threatened a female acquaintance with a 7-inch knife in a parking lot at 6630 S.W. Nyberg St., grabbed her purse, and then fled the scene. When Tualatin police officers responded at around 12:50 a.m., they commenced a K-9 track with the help of a Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy, eventually finding Rogacz hiding in a wetland area south of the parking lot.
Rogacz was arrested on charges of Robbery in the First Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant from Clackamas County for Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree.
Rogacz is being held at the Washington County Jail. Bail for the robbery charge was set at $50,000.
